Little Smokey has aimed to hire exclusively veteran planters, however will sometimes fill an empty spot with a rookie planter.  We will be hiring 1 or 2 rookies per crew, but be advised that these spots are most often filled with "word of mouth" rookies.  Also be warned that several hundred rookies apply each season, when the reality is that there are no more than 3-4 spots available company wide.  This all means that the chances of employment are small for a rookie!
